Homeopathy Awareness Week UK

Keep on top of your health

Homeopathy Awareness Week

This week sees Homeopathy Awareness Week coming to an end. 14th- 21st June 2013.

As summer quickly approaches we all want to keep on top of our health to make the most of those irregular bursts of British sun.

Homeopathy is the ‘like with like’ treatment for illness with highly diluted medicine. The aim of this treatment is to trigger the natural healing process of the body. This might be of interest to those of you too scared to try out any hard hitting medication.

The term homeopathy is based on the ideas of German doctor Samuel Hahnemann in the 1790s. It is believed by many practitioners to aid any condition; however the most common include asthma, allergies, stress and anxiety amongst others. Some well known users of homeopathy include David Beckham and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

If homeopathy seems tempting to you, perhaps you should consider Bowen. Similar to homeopathy, Bowen Therapy promotes the self healing of the body. Bowen is not a forceful treatment, rather a complimentary aid to start the natural healing of the body. Gentle pressure is applied to precise parts of the body with unique ‘rolling type’ movements to stimulate the muscles and soft body tissues.

Natural and drug free, Bowen can be used alongside medication and is most commonly used for sports injuries, whiplash, migraines and IBS. Also known for its’ relaxing qualities Bowen helps to relieve stress and anxiety.
